Kitty Bungalow
Help us socialize adoptable cats and kittens! Shift duties include playing with and feeding cats, wiping down cages, changing litter boxes, and administering medications if needed.
New volunteers need to be oriented with one of our shift leads. After orientation, you can attend shifts with a shift lead and other volunteers (bus fares will be provided). Sign-ups are posted weekly.

Cat Cafe Lounge
What is better combination than cats and coffee? Help socialize and care for the adoptable cats at LA's only nonprofit cat cafe.

No-Kill Los Angeles (NKLA)
Through NKLA's website, sign up to work with either dogs, cats, or kittens.
1. Fill out this form and select NKLA as location preference.
2. Check email make volunteer profile, watch training video, and pass video quiz.
3. Log onto volunteer profile, go to "Calendar/Shifts" and "NKLA: Training and Workshops" to sign up for dog/cat/kitty first day training.

Note that all volunteer sign-up shifts must be arranged through NKLA's website. Feel free to attend shifts on your own and we can reimburse for bus transportation ($0.50 one way).

Transportation
Bus Option 1 [From Ackerman to NKLA]:
Take Culver City 6 Bus (opposite side of Ronald Reagan) and get off at Sepulveda Blvd/Santa Monica Blvd.
Walk 4 mins : Head southeast on S Sepulveda Blvd toward S Gate Ave. Turn right onto W Nebraska Ave.
Turn left onto Pontius Ave
Bus Option 2: [From Ralphs to NKLA]:
Take Big Blue Bus 1 (opposite side from Ralphs) and get off at Santa Monica/Sepulveda.
Walk 6 mins: Head northeast on Santa Monica Blvd toward S Sepulveda Blvd.
Turn right onto S Sepulveda Blvd.
Turn right onto W Nebraska Ave.
Turn left onto Pontius Ave.
West LA Animal Shelter
Come help make a difference in the lives of dogs, cats, rabbits, and other animals!

Orientation Process:

The agreement, initialed and signed (if under 18, a parent or guardian must review and sign as well)

The background questionnaire must be completed

A picture of photo ID ( Driver's License, passport, State ID, or a School ID if you have none of those)
